One AI tool, tested in production,
every Sunday.

Read by operators, builders, and technical founders evaluating AI tools that have to actually work on Monday morning.

— What you'll get
  • 01

    One tool per issue

No listicles, no roundups, no "top 10 alternatives to X". Each Sunday: one tool, evaluated honestly, with the price-to-value verdict.

  • 02

    Tested with real workloads

Reviews come from operators who use these tools to ship real products — not from vendor demos or rewritten press releases.

  • 03

    Honest verdicts, including the no's

When a tool isn't worth it, we say so. When the free alternative wins, we say so. The unsubscribe button is one click — we work for the read, not the lock-in.

The AI tool I used to ship 13 sites today

Welcome. You signed up for one honest review per Sunday. Here's the first.

Claude Code. Anthropic's CLI agent. I just used it to rebuild the homepage of 13 sites, set up a newsletter pipeline, and rewire content generation to a free LLM provider — in about six hours, by myself. The honest version: it's a senior pair-programmer, not a junior. Costs real money ($20+/mo). Noticeably better at multi-file refactors than Cursor or anything else I've tried. Worth the spend if you ship things alone…

— Common questions
How much does it cost?
Free. The newsletter is supported by affiliate revenue from tools we recommend (clearly disclosed in every issue).
How often will I hear from you?
One email per week, on Sundays. Sometimes one extra issue if a tool ships something genuinely worth knowing about.
How do I unsubscribe?
One click in the footer of any email. You won't get a survey, you won't get a guilt-trip retention sequence.
Can I suggest a tool to review?
Yes — reply to any issue with the tool name. The first three suggestions every week become the next three issues.
Do you write all the reviews yourself?
Most. Some are co-written with an operator I trust who has used the tool in production. Every review names the writer or contributor.
